about

Hi Diane, Darren here, with this week's new song, which we titled "The Red Room" which is a bit of a rocking song, a bit of a jazzy piano feel, almost like an old player piano, but a rock version of one. We threw some references in there from Coop's Twin Peaks days. Everyone this particular evening, apparently had red auras, according to Coop and Phillip. Hence "The Red Room" and Stoney made us all play a word association game before we played. He told us to give him the first thing that came to our minds when we heard a certain word. This time, the word was "Red" and here's how we answered: Coop - "Cherry Pie" ; Phillip - "1987" ; Stone - "love" ; Me - "primary color" . . . So I guess what we learned is that we all interpret things in many different ways. I guess what that might mean is that maybe the red Room is different for everyone. Diane, as we were sitting around meditating on the word red at one Eyed Jack's, a person approached us about writing an album for a movie about mushrooms. Currently Considering considering. More Soon Diane.

lyrics

The Red Room

I'll sit with you in the red room
I'll talk backwards with just small words
& love

I came for you, I came here for you

in the red room
where heroes and vultures are spared
and owls don't care
who!?

well, I'll take you out of the red room
I'll be your hero's suspense
well, I'll chase you out of the red room
I'll show the demons who's best
I'll take you out of the red room

I'll wait for you in this red room
I'll walk backwards but move forward
with Love

I came for you, I came here for you

I'll take you out of the red room

I'll take you out of the red room
I'll be your hero's suspense
